1 powerful way to heal a cold

It's winter season, and if you are like me, you don't let a little cold get in the way of your killer fashion sense. Unfortunately, I sometimes skip out on a sweater way too often and end up with a cold. Fortunately, I came across the best remedy to stop my cold in its tracks. So next time you’re bothered by a cold, do yourself a favor and try this tea.

I first stumbled upon the mixture while using stumble upon, then again on Pinterest, and again on Free People's blog. So I  figured someone upstairs must be speaking to me, and I am so glad I listened because nothing has ever soothed my scratchy throat, or cleared my stuffed up nose quite like this.

This is the ingredient list that I have found is most soothing:

Ingredients:

4 cups water

2.5 inch knob of ginger, peeled & cut into ½ inch pieces

2 cinnamon sticks

10 cloves

1 heaping tsp dried rose hip

local honey to taste

Directions:

  1. Throw all ingredients but the honey into a sauce pan or crock pot, and simmer until brewed.
  2. Ladle tea into cups using a tea strainer to keep out pieces of ginger, rose hip, cloves, or cinnamon.
  3. Stir in as much honey as you like & drink.
  4. Feel better!
